Dress rehearsal for the WRCC
organizing committee!
This Sunday and Monday, june 16h-17th,
a delegation from the international rowing federation, FISA, in Switzerland
will visit Helsingborg to go through the entire WRCC planning with the organizing
committee.
That means among other things
an inspection of the race course, all the side arrangements and other details
to make sure WRCC Helsingborg fulfils FISA standards.
At the moment the last
preparations is being taken care of before the weekend in Helsingborg. Event
manager Mats Leo admits he is a bit tingly.
– Definitely, it is a lot of
things to prepare and a lot of details that will have to be in order before
Sunday, he says.

Press conference: On Monday june 17th we warmly welcome
the press for a briefing about the WRCC preparation and interviews with the
FISA representatives at 2.00 pm at the WRCC office at Norra Storgatan 8,
Helsingborg.
Photo opt: As part of the inspection we will be
testing the WRCC course at the main jetty at Fria bad, Helsingborg, on Sunday
june 16th at 3.30 pm.

World Rowing Coastal Championships is held in Helsingborg
august 15th to 18th 2013.
Coastal Rowing is a fast growing discipline within
rowing. The first official World Championships were held in Cannes Mandelieu in
2007.
In coastal rowing there are three boat categories:
single, double and the coxed quad.
The shells are wider than ordinary flat water shells,
designed for rough conditions in open sea.
Coastal rowing is most popular in France, Italy and
Spain.
Coastal rowing is an official rowing discipline
approved by the International Rowing Federation, FISA.
